Specifically, the project aims at strengthening policy-making at sector level, strategic planning and policy management capacities, enhancing stakeholders’ knowledge and awareness of EU policies, legislation and regulations. Specific advice will be given to ensure the political, institutional and financial feasibility of the reforms in order to ensure their effective implementation.

Our Mission

The overall objective of the European Union High-Level Advisers Mission is to support the Government to implement its reform Agenda and in particular to assist the Government in developing the capacities required for the implementation of the Association Agreement (AA), including the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA), as well as to ensure the necessary follow-up for the post Visa Liberalisation stage.

Coronavirus: The European Union stands by the Republic of Moldova
As part of its global response to the coronavirus outbreak, the European Commission stands by Eastern Partner countries and has reallocated €140 million for the most immediate needs including the Republic of Moldova. In addition, the Commission will also redirect the use of existing instruments worth up to €700 million across the region to help mitigate socio-economic impact of the coronavirus crisis.

Steering Committee Members of the ‘Support to the Implementation of EU High-Level Advisers’ Mission 2019 -2021’ project convened in their first ordinary meeting on 22 October to take stock of the activities carried out during the first phase of project implementation and endorse its First Interim Semestrial Report. The meeting was co-chaired by Adrian Ermurachi, Deputy Secretary General of the Government and Marco Gemmer, Head of Operations Section of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Moldova.

EU STANDARDS IN THE FIELD OF PREVENTION AND COMBATTING MONEY LAUNDERING, DISCUSSED DURING SEMINAR FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT AND SUPERVISION AUTHORITIES
About 60 representatives of law enforcement agencies, supervision authorities, commercial banks, insurance companies were familiarised in depth with EU standards in the field of prevention and combatting money laundering and financing of terrorism in the framework of a seminar organised today by the EU funded Project "Support to the implementation of the European Union High Level Advisers Mission to the Republic of Moldova 2019-2021", in partnership with the Office for Prevention and Fight against Money Laundering.
