More than 100 students from Bălți State University gathered yesterday, May 11, to find out about the opportunities of the innovative programme launched by the European Union and the Government of the Republic of Moldova for young people: two-month internships in public institutions.

On May 6, the hall of Cahul University became almost too small for 120 students who gathered to receive information from the first source about the innovative internship program in public institutions, launched by the European Union in partnership with the Government of the Republic of Moldova.

On May 3-5, 2022, the delegation of the Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova, led by Deputy Director Lidia Ababii, was in Augsburg, Germany, for the visit to validate the German AEO Program in the context of implementing the Programme on Mutual Recognition of Authorized Economic Operators (AEO) between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union. Together with the AEO expert from the Directorate-General for Taxation and Customs Union (DG TAXUD) of the European Commission, the expert from the Romanian customs administration, as well as the EU High Level Adviser on customs and tax policy, the functioning of the AEO program in Germany was evaluated in terms of its operational compatibility with the standards applied in the Republic of Moldova, in view of mutual recognition.

Students in the 3rd and 4th year of the undergraduate cycle, master students, as well as recent graduates can pursue internships in the central public institutions of the Republic of Moldova, for a period of two months. Beneficiaries of the internship program will be guided in their day-to-day work by the EU High Level Advisers. The internship program for young people in public institutions - a joint initiative of the European Union and the Government of the Republic of Moldova, was launched today, May 5, 2022, at the State University of Moldova.

Yesterday, April 14, the Ministry of Internal Affairs organised a debates and networking event, which brought together women from public institutions, such as Parliament, Government, local public authorities and the diplomatic community in the Republic of Moldova. The event is part of the range of activities launched within the Together4Home Affairs platform.
